The holidays are finally here!  I can’t believe that Christmas will be here in five days and it will be a brand new year shortly after that!  In addition to purchasing gifts, getting chunky(er) with sweets, and hanging out with the family, the holidays always remind me to be thankful for my health and the health of my family.

With that in mind, Tristin, Tyler, Hubby and I were fortunate to be invited to attend a fun-filled performance full of fabulously-talented kiddies at the STAT! For NYC’s Public Hospitals Kids for Kids Event.  The boys even got to interview the performers!

The event was a holiday show which was part of a week-long series of music and arts events that the Health and Hospital’s Corporation organized in order to raise money for equipment and technology for NYC Public Hospitals which serve us New Yorkers day-in and day-out.  So were sooo glad to have the opportunity to be a part of the event, and the boys were ecstatic because they were able to meet “SUPERSTARS!”

So we have a cool episode of “Tristin and Tyler’s Tales from the City!” coming up! It’s actually a two-part series because there were so many great performers and we wanted all of you to get a chance to see performances by:

the KIDS OF BROADWAY – an extremely talented group of kids who have all performed in Broadway musicals

THE KIDS OF BROADWAY on Stage

acclaimed tap dancer/musician/entertainer OMAR EDWARDS and EBONI EDWARDS

Tap Dancer/Entertainer Omar Edwards!

Gospel singer SHEENA LEE

Sheena Lee performing!

15-year-old Actor/Singer PAULIE LITT

STAY TUNED!

It’s getting cold out, huh?  And the holiday season is approaching EXTREMELY fast!  Well, the latest episode of Tristin and Tyler’s Tales from the City! shows you and the lil’ ones a great way for you to get out of the cold and give a great gift too!

Luckily you don’t have to spend hours in a toy store shoving fellow shoppers for the “it” toy of the season to give this gift!  Visit Little Shop of Crafts located on the Upper West Side on 94th Street and Amsterdam (they also have an east side location).   Take the little one and make something fun that will last for eva! Or maybe not forever, depending on how wild your child is, but you catch my drift! 🙂  Listen, if little bracelet rubber bands shaped like cows can become the hottest thing out, why can’t you  make something your child can enjoy?!

As  with anything we all do, if the environment isn’t great you’re not having much fun!  So, what we liked most about Little Shop of Crafts were the people.  Joy and Andre spent a lot of time with Tristin and Tyler and were loads of fun, they truly loved working with the kids!

Oh, and the shop itself was chock full of crafting ideas!

If you look up on the shelf, there were ceramics to paint!   Turn right?  There were jewlery boxes and treasure chests waiting to be decorated and filled!

To the left! Tons of beads and small stones for jewelery to be made!

And oh, look over there! Animals anxiously awaiting to be stuffed and turned into cuddly pals.

So go, leave this fab blog, grab your kids and check out the episode by clicking here and share it with friends!  Don’t forget to visit Little Shop of Crafts!

Oh, and did I say check out the episode and share it with friends already? Pretty please?

Happy Holidays!!
